Loena stares down the upcoming season, confident and determined

Loena Hendrickx: Eyes on the Ice, Heart on the Prize

Beads of sweat trickle down Loena Hendrickx’s forehead—even in the biting cold of the Sportoase Ruggeveld ice rink in Antwerp. We meet Loena mid-training, fully immersed in her daily routine. It’s immediately clear: she’s on a mission.

Still recovering from surgery following last season’s injuries, Loena is back on the ice with determination and laser focus. “I’m right on schedule,” she says. “Now I can only hope for a full recovery of my ligaments.”

Despite facing younger competitors, Loena feels strong, fit, and ready. Her secret weapon? Experience. “It gives me an edge,” she says confidently.

Her competition calendar for the 2025 season is set. It kicks off this September at the Olympic Winter Games Figure Skating Qualifying Competition in Beijing, followed by key stops in Osaka (Japan), Helsinki (Finland), and Sheffield (UK). All of it building toward the ultimate goals: the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and the World Championships 2026 in Prague.

With grit, grace, and unwavering drive, Loena Hendrickx is not just skating toward another season—she’s chasing greatness.
